Nestled between coast, river and traditional Norman countryside, Honfleur provides plenty of opportunity to sample local cheeses, cider, calvados and seafood. With up to 100 places to eat, the town caters for all price ranges and tastes - from typical Norman cooking to Vietnamese to aspiring contemporary chefery. There
is a slight premium
for the restaurants and bars overlooking the harbour and it is worth exploring
the back streets - Place Sainte Catherine, Rue Haute and Rue de l’Homme de Bois
to the west of the Harbour and Rue de la Ville, across the main road from the
Library, have a good range. There are also various cafes and bars
around the town for drinks and snacks or, if you want to eat in, try a takeaway ready-prepared dish from
the charcuteries in town or the local supermarkets |
